Burmese Monks Finds Refuge in Palau

Most media observers reacted with surprise when the small Pacific island nation of Palau agreed to take some of the anti-Chinese Communist Uighur detainees from Guantanamo. However, the Uighurs are not the only displaced persons to be welcomed by the Palauans. Eleven political refugees from Burma, including Buddhist monks, have been offered protection in Palau.
