Tsutomu Yamaguchi poses during a news conference at Nagasaki City Hall in Nagasaki, southwestern Japan, in this July 20, 2007 file photo. Yamaguchi, the only person officially recognized as a survivor of both the Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bombings at the end of World War II, died at age 93, Monday morning, January 4, 2010, of stomach cancer. Yamaguchi was in Hiroshima on a business trip on August 6, 1945, when the U.S. dropped the first atomic bomb on the city. He spent the night in an air raid shelter and returned to Nagasaki the next day. On August 9, he was trying to explain the power of the Hiroshima bomb to his skeptical supervisor when the Americans dropped another atomic bomb above Nagasaki. (AP Photo/Kyodo News)
